Pricey Galaxy Note 3 unveiled for Rs 49900 in India

At times when likes of domestic brands like Micromax are providing top notch hardware at affordable cost to indian consumers, Samsung has launched its much awaited Galaxy Note 3 at whopping Rs 49900. One would think why to buy Samsung over iPhone at such premium cost in India. Eventually, the price cuts are expected over coming months as festive season is approaching in India. Alongside, with Note 3, Samsung has also launched its first smartwatch Samsung Gear @Rs. 22990. For the early buyer, below are the snapshot of the major specs:

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 features a 5.7-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display. It comes in two variants: the LTE-variant powered by 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, and the 3G (HSDPA) version powered by a 1.9GHz octa-core Exynos processor. However, the company will be launching only the 3G variant in India.

The Galaxy Note 3 includes 3GB of RAM, and sport a 13-megapixel rear camera alongside a 2-megapixel front camera. The Note 3 is powered by 3,200mAh battery and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Gear smartwatch which is the first wearable tech device from the South Korean major was also launched at IFA. It features a 1.63-inch (4.14 cm) OLED display and can make calls, display messages, record videos and snap photos with its 1.9-megapixel camera.
