Thought Samsung Galaxy Note II is too big with its mammoth 5.5-inch screen? Well, the South Korean manufacturer is reportedly readying a new series of smartphones with a much bigger screen likely to be called Galaxy Mega phones.
According to a report in technology news website SamMobile, Samsung is readying its Galaxy Mega series that will initially bring in two smartphones. While one will have a 6.3-inch screen, the other will tout a 5.8-inch display. The report says that the model number of Galaxy Mega 5.8 is GT-I9152, hinting at a dual-sim model as the moniker ends with the numeral 2. Galaxy Mega 6.3 is codenamedGT-I9200.
The report says that the phone with 5.8-inch display will hit the stores around week 22 this year (May end or early June) and will be available in white colour. The phablet with 6.3-inch screen with arrive in week 25 (mid June) and will be offered in white as well as black colour options.
Previously, Samsung was said to be working on a smartphone called Fonblet 5.8 (with 5.8-inch screen) and Galaxy Note III (with 6.3-inch display). Speculations are that these devices were likely planned for the Galaxy Mega line-up.
