Motorola has finally announced the long rumored Motorola XOOM 2 and XOOM 2 Media edition tablets. The Xoom 2 features a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, Android 3.2, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 10.1-inch display. It has a front facing 1.3 MP camera along with a 5 MP auto focus rear shooter. The device will also have a flavor of Motorola’s new Splash-guard protection.
The Xoom 2 Media Edition apart from the similar features has a smaller 8.2-inch display size with a Gorilla Glass. Motorola says the Xoom 2 Media will have a 20 % improved graphics engine when compared to the original Xoom announced earlier this year. The new screen also has a 178 degree viewing angle making it a monster for sharing and watching movies and videos win groups.
The Tablet has been announced for UK and Ireland, and will also be updated to the Android Ice Cream Sandwich (i.e. Android 4.0) by the end of the Year.
